Transfer Applicants

Ready to transfer? We can’t wait to welcome you to Champlain.

Champlain enrolls 50-100 transfer students each year in both the fall and spring semesters, which means we review and accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Please read these step-by-step instructions carefully, as the application process for transfer students differs from that of first-year students.

If you have any questions (about the transfer process or Champlain in general), please do not hesitate to contact our Admissions team. Our Transfer Admissions Counselor can guide you through the application process, and a Transfer Advisor can assist you with a credit evaluation.

If you’re interested in financial aid, you should apply for it when you apply for admission. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be an important first step in financing your Champlain education. In fact, it is required if you want to be considered for one or more of our merit- and need-based institutional grants and scholarships. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only financial aid application required by Champlain College in order to receive a financial aid award. That’s it! No extra scholarship applications. And although it’s optional, we highly recommend that you don’t wait for your admissions acceptance before applying for financial aid. Champlain’s FAFSA code is 003684. Start your FAFSA
